Big Daishowa's outstanding tool development relies on cutting force measurement technology from Kistler
The role of the bolt is to tighten, and it is conceivable that the preload (clamping force) is the most important measurement parameter. However, the pre-tightening force can not be directly measured like torque. It can only be measured by indirect method. The measuring method is also varied. The traditional method includes strain gauge method and washer sensor method, while ultrasonic wave is used to measure the pre-tightening force compared with other methods. The method does have many advantages, and can achieve non-destructive measurement, real measurement, information preservation, and cost saving.

Practice and theory are the left and right legs of human knowledge learning. Recently, Xiao Yan discovered that the left leg of the domestic fastening industry has become more and more sturdy, but the right leg is somewhat thin, and the theory is more or less lacking, including Xiao Yan himself. It's time to arm yourself with theory, and there is a book that will hold you armed.
Efficient production processes in fastener assembly
The objective in fastener assembly is continuous optimization of production processes to attain high standards of quality assurance and boost productivity. Inspection systems from Kistler make this possible: our INSPECT process inspection systems monitor the entire fastening process; they verify and document the process parameters, and they deliver proof of the quality of bolted joints – either during the process or after fastening is completed. The benefits: targeted monitoring of tolerance limits and early detection of faults so they can be rectified while the process is still running.
- Reduced costs
- Fault detection with immediate quality corrections during the process
- Optimized bolted joints
- Enhanced efficiency in the fastening process
- End-to-end documentation
- Protection against product liability cases
- Reproducible inspection processes
- Traceable results
- Compliance with standards
The (random-sample) tests can be performed, analyzed and documented quickly and effectively and thereby contribute to optimum quality in bolted joint assembly and a variety of other applications. Optional software modules expand the INSPECTpro to create an individual, custom testing system.
The main applications are torque / angle of rotation measurements, as well as the special functions associated with the measuring and evaluation unit INSPECTpro. Application areas for the Analysis wrenches:
